Gummy Bear Chandelier

Artist YaYa Chou really likes Gummy Bears and using them in her artwork. Included in her Gummi Bear Series is this chandelier which was constructed in 2005. This chandelier measures 21″ x 21″ x 45″ and is compsed of beads, monofilament, plastic, metal and light bulbs in addition to our gummy friends. According to the artist, Gummi bears only melt at 200 degrees, so they can withstand a lot of heat. I kind of like the 70s feel of the illuminated gummies. I wish I knew how many bears are in this piece. |
