Chuck-A-Duck

Filed under: Links, Office Warfare, Pets & Animals — roclar @ 8:00 am
Zebra Devil Duckie The ever expanding concept of the rubber ducky keeps expanding. Here alone, I have covered some pretty bizarre permutations of Duck Fadar and the Floating Duck Radio. Archie McPhee carries a whole line of Devil Duckies including the Zebra Devil Duckie which can be purchased in a set of two for $9. Of more interest for those involved in intra-office combat though is the Chuck-A-Duck. This nearly 6″ “plastic shooting device” hurls the 1/2″ devil duckie ammunition through the air. I can’t imagine these little guys fly very straight judging by how aerodynamic they look. The Chuck-A-Duck is available from Archie McPhee with woefully only five minature ducks of doom for $5. Extra ammunition is available in the form of the Tub O’ Mini Devil Duckies for $35. The site fails to mention how much extra ammo you get with the tub or how fast you can expect to be able to reload the launcher, so you will have to rely on field testing for your office battles.

  1. I have one of the chucking pistols. It takes a bit of effort to reload. You push one arm down against a spring, put in the ammo, while continuing to hold it down. Then you push down the second arm over the first, snapping it into place. The trigger releases the second arm, which releases the first, which chucks the duck, or nun, or pig, or whatever.

So, figure 10 seconds per shot.
