Using traditional tweezers especially to remove splinters definitely requires copious amounts of lighting to ensure successful removal. So I can see the motivation for a pair of tweezers that have the necessary lighting already built in. Still, the $25 that Hammacher Schlemmer is charging for the pictured tweezers to the left seems a bit pricey. It does seem that they are a little unwieldy as far as tweezers go given they are almost 5″ long and over 1″ wide. There are other illuminated tweezers on the market such as La Tweez which sells for $12 or Avon’s Light It Up! Slanted Tweezer which they sell for $10.T |
