Zarafina Tea Maker
![]() |
When ever I see an all in one tea maker for hot tea, I like to see how well its specifications stack up with Tommy’s guide on How To Make Tea. This machine actually seems to fair relatively well. It heats the water you add varying the temperature in accordance with the type of tea you are brewing though I am not sure how well the dual plastic walls hold in the heat. The Zarafina Tea Maker does utilize an infuser, but it allows the tea leaves access to most of the water which is better then most all in one pots. There is also three settings of weak, normal and strong which affect the brew time for the various tea types. The included pots and two cups look relatively nondescript and the cups don’t include handles. The most limiting factor on the Zarafina Tea Maker is the price. It is available from Amazone for $149. |

I don’t see any obvious flaws with the product.
The only quibble is calling the time settings weak, normal, and strong. You determine the strength of the tea by how much tea you use, not the length of brewing time. You choose brewing time by how you like your balances of flavor and bitterness.
Yeah, that’s pretty minor.
