Mimoco Star Wars Series

Filed under: Computer Related, Links, Star Wars, USB — roclar @ 5:59 pm
Mimoco Star Wars Darth Vadar Mimoco with the blessing of Lucasfilm Ltd. has created a set of four Star Wars Mimobots. The first one in the series, which is due to be produced in January 2007, was announced to be Darth Vadar and is available for pre-order now. Mimobots are “designer flash drives” which means they are relatively expensive. Darth Vadar is pre-ordering at 1GB, 2GB and 4GB sizes for $80, $120 and $170 respectively. NewEgg.com has regular old flash memory sticks for as low as $17, $30 and $65 for the same capacities, though you would not get whatever content comes on the Star Wars Series and you would not get the opportunity to have Darth Vadar in your pocket. Mimoco is also holding a contest to guess the other three mimobots in the series with the chance of winning some or all of them.

  1. I’m sure they’ll waste one on a C3PO.

    I’d take:
    - Princess Leia in the brass slave bikini. (The shape even has bumps for the “bun” hairdo, although she didn’t have the “bun” hair while in the bikini. Not that I keep track of this stuff.)
    - Stormtrooper
    - Darth Maul (Although the cut line is a little high.)

I have this one coming in the mail:

I figure I’ll fill the memory with rockabilly tunes.
