Here we have a fully licensed by Lucas Film Ltd. hot air balloon of the head of Darth Vader. The balloon measures 86′ tall x 69′ wide and 78′ deep, can hold an estimated 106,000 cubic feet of air and weighs an estimated 640 pounds. It would be rather interesting to look up in the sky and see Vader’s head floating by. This reminds me of the floating head from Zardoz even though the altitude is wrong they both float albeit at different altitudes and have fire. |

Speaking of more expensive yet simpler umbrellas, we have the Darth Vader’s Lightsaber Umbrella. Supposedly made available by Master Replicas though their site has no mention of the product, this umbrella features an “authentic” light saber handle and a red nylon sleeve so it looks like a “real” light saber when not in use. The Darth Vader’s Lightsaber Umbrella is available “in limited quanties” in two styles which have different artwork on the umbrella. Style A has artwork of Darth Vader amidst rivers of burning lava and style B has art of Darth Vader preparing for battle. You can either get this umbrella and its fancy handle directly from Entertainment Earth or their Amazon store for $99. |

If you are looking for a nutcracker to accompany your Star Wars Pewter Barware Set, Hammacher Schlemmer has the nutcrack(s) for you! Steinbech, which is apparently a big name in the nutcracker business, has produced decorative nut crackers in both the 18.5″ form of Darth Vader and Yoda which measures in at 9.5″ tall. Of course like all crazy Star Wars related items these aren’t cheap with Vader selling for $350 and Yoda for $250. |

Mimoco with the blessing of Lucasfilm Ltd. has created a set of four Star Wars Mimobots. The first one in the series, which is due to be produced in January 2007, was announced to be Darth Vadar and is available for pre-order now. Mimobots are “designer flash drives” which means they are relatively expensive. Darth Vadar is pre-ordering at 1GB, 2GB and 4GB sizes for $80, $120 and $170 respectively. NewEgg.com has regular old flash memory sticks for as low as $17, $30 and $65 for the same capacities, though you would not get whatever content comes on the Star Wars Series and you would not get the opportunity to have Darth Vadar in your pocket. Mimoco is also holding a contest to guess the other three mimobots in the series with the chance of winning some or all of them. |

What do you get when you cross rubber duckies, LEDs, Star Wars and the fear of litigation? Duck Fader! The plastic sith champion is powered by a self-contained battery that cannot be replaced and lasts for about 40 hours. The duck turns on when its circuit on the bottom is completed either by resting on the water or by you finger or whatever else conducts electricity. These ducks are available via iWantOneofThose.com or the The Little Yellow Duck Company for $13. |
