The Wall-Mounted Digital Scale and Clock consists of two pieces. The scale portion is controlled by a touchscreen, can weigh up to seven pounds and transmits the data wirelessly via infrared to the wall-mounted piece. The wall-mounted piece then displays the resulting weight in either metric or imperial. It can also function as a clock as well as a thermometer in addition it can also hold the scale portion which slides over the clock and locks into place. The Wall-Mounted Digital Scale and Clock requires a total of seven AAA batteries which are included and is available from Hammacher Schlemmer for $90. Given the amount of time I spend doing things in the kitchen, I don’t fully understand the need for a kitchen scale. That being said, this combo unit doesn’t seem to be priced that out of line compared to the other scales Salter makes. |

The Batman Collapsible Desk Clock is a product from the Noble Collection. When extended, it reveals a simple time piece in the shape of a triangle with only an hour and minute hand. When closed, it measures four inches in length and reveals the classic Batman logo. There is no word on what form of power the clock runs on. The Batman Collapsible Desk Clock is available directly from the Noble Collection’s web site with a September 30 ship date at a cost of $45. |

Designed by Chris Koens of Invotis Orange, the Wiggle Wiggle Clock is a simple analog time piece that rocks back and forth. The wiggle motion is caused by the motion from its internal pendulum and the clock’s base which has a gentle curve. The Wiggle Wiggle Clock comes in four colors: orange, blue, white and black and is sold by Perpetual Kid for $24. |

I do chuckle every time I see another Nixie time piece. Good to see that fifty year old technology still has a place and understandably so since Nixie tubes just plain look cool. The Puhmlmann version of the clock measures 12.7″ x 6.2″ and is made out of brushed-steel. Power is proved by an included adapter. The Puhlmann Nixie Clock is available for $340. |

I have never been proficient at boiling eggs not that I try all the often. Perhaps I would with the Egg-Per’fect Color Changing Egg Timer from Burton Plastics. This timer has a heat sensor in its sensor and detects when the center has been heated enough for various levels of yolk hardness. A black mark on a graduated scale to indicate how well done the egg is. The Egg-Per’fect Color Changing Egg Timer is available from Sur la Table for $5. |

The Magic-Bulb Digital Alarm Clock combines timekeeping features and color-changing LEDs in a light bulb shaped package. The clock stands about 5.5″ high and is about 3.5″ wide and has the normal timepiece functions such as date, time, alarm and it even tells the temperature. The LEDs are powered by four AAA batteries and the clock functions are powered by 2 AG13 batteries. It also looks like there is a plug for an DC 6V adapter but it doesn’t appear to be included. |
