Yet another entry in the roclar.net Online Time Keeping is the Polar Clock. The Pixel Clock is available as a Windows and Mac screen saver and a Mac OS X Tiger Dashboard widget in addition to being available on the web. Its claim to fame is conveying the date in time in six separate arcs: seconds, minutes, hour of the day, day of the week, day of the month and month of the year, which change color as the arc is completed. |

The Day of Dots online web clock visually conveys the time by having a dot for every second of the day or 60 x 60 x 24 = 86400 dots for those less math inclined or just lazy. As the day progresses, the dots turn from pink to black until they are all black and the day is complete. The clock has a variety of legends depicting what various times are represented by different sections turning black as well as what common units of time look like in one second dot increments. If you like the Day of Dots Clock there is also a more static Dot a Day that lays out the current and past two centuries out with dots representing days. |

Online time keeping devices clearly amuse me as it is much easier to change code to adapt an online clock then it is to change circuit boards. As this is my sixth entry, there is now an Online Time Keeping sub-category of Time Keeping Devices so I don’t have to keep listing the previous entries. The Summer Meter counts down the percentage of the non-summer period complete; the percentage of time completed in fall, winter, and spring, and the weeks, days, hours, minutes and seconds left until summer. All the numbers have a degree of accuracy to at least eight decimal digits with the percentages accurate to fourteen decimal digit. Combined with the countdown bars for the time increments, there are alot of interesting moving elements on the page. At the time of writing, summer is only 4.94104200 weeks away! |

I got tired of using the date command to keep track of how long my tea had been brewing and decided to look for web based timer solutions. The Mothership directed me to a javascript timer on James A. White’s site that was available for download. Score! I converted the javascript and html code into my preferred XHTML 1.0 Strict and changed the digits from the orignal thick black to a green digital font. If you have timer needs and are in front of a computer feel free to call this up. |

Not a whole lot to say about this one. Yet another online clock, but I find this one strangely soothing watching the seconds quickly slide on by. The reload button sometimes yields and change of color for the clock. The clock itself is a link to time screensaver site that has the handwritten clock I linked to in January that had since disappeared. |

If you are too lazy or cheap to buy an alarm clock or just want some additional waking up power and have a computer near your sleeping location, check out the Online Alarm Clock. This simple clock allows you to choose from four different display sizes (small, medium, large and x-large) and five different background color choices (blue, black, silver, orange and green). The digits however are set to red and are in 12hr AM/PM mode with no military time option or date avaialbe for what little that is worth. The alarm sound is rather curious but eh, it is free. |

Similar to the Handwritten Clock (that has since disappeared) is the much creepier Body Clock. Billy Chasen found numbers represented by humans and turned them into a Flash Clock. And They never stop looking at you! |

This Flash clock is amusing to watch for a little while. Numbers are written in pencil and erased and rewritten to increment. |
